The intention of all services provided is the healing (can be emotional, physical, spiritual) of the individual. All services are performed in the best and highest interest of the client.

Healing has the best chances of happening when the person receiving treatment is receptive to making a change in their life. This means being open to noticing/listening to your body, trying new methods of moving energy, and sometimes facing uncomfortable feelings, emotions or physical sensations.

What does it mean to “heal”?

You may have a specific identified physical or emotional issue you wish to move through or heal. Or, may just know that you feel stuck in your life, in your relationships or your work, that you are meant for more but you can’t figure out how to get there. Voila! This is the healing you need. You don’t need to know what exactly you are healing, you just need to start moving your energy and what needs to be cleared will emerge and shift – if you are open to the process, patient and you trust in divine timing and plans.

This is a process. Healing any trauma, or emotional stressor, or even physical issue takes time, repetition, commitment and ongoing self care. We will discuss ways to care for yourself regularly during our session.

Provided Services

Chakra Meditation

Chakra Mediation can be quite profound. It involves moving through and balancing all your 7 chakras (energy centers) through breath, meditation and yoga asana (postures) that are individual to you and your needs in that moment. This session involves guided visualization, specific breathing techniques and physical movement. It will help you deeply connect to each of your energy centers and unblock and harness the energy there.

Personalized Yoga Asana Session

A yoga asana (posture) session will allow us to delve deeper into yoru physical body and ways that injuries or deep emotions or traumas are causing pain and blockage. This session is perfect for someone who may be new to yoga or movement, or is experiencing a physical challenge or recovery process and would benefit from personalized yoga postures with individual attention and hands on adjustments.

Reiki Session

In a reiki session, you generally lay down flat and simply relax and rest. You don’t have to do a thing! You will receive the flow of reiki (universal life energy) through your practitioner’s hands. Hands generally rest on each of the 7 chakras on the body (over your clothes) but reiki can also be given without touch.

Tantric Healing Session

In a tantric healing session, there is no expectation or judgment, or goal. We may set an intention based on what you want to work on in your body. These sessions may include a mixture of treatments and modalities but will usually include hands-on body work, reiki, and breathwork. You will most likely be lying down in a robe or sarong. Often, we hold stuck emotions or traumas in our body, and these sessions can help us access and release these. You will receive a thorough session overview over the phone and have any questions answered prior to receiving a tantric healing session. Each session is unique to the client and the client’s needs.

Movement & Coaching Session

This session is typically done in conjunction with one of the other sessions, to support the movement of energy and transformation of blockages into action and motivation for change in your day to day life. These sessions can support you taking what you learn and uncover in a body work or energetic session and apply it so you can approach old patterns and your life in a new way.

Terminology

Please note this terminology is based on the individual practitioner’s training, experience and interpretation.

What is yoga?

An Eastern tradition, it means yolking or union and is about connection of mind, body and spirit. In the West, yoga traditionally involves physical movement or postures (asana) but may also include breathwork, meditation or chanting. It has been known to provide stress relief, strengthen the body and provide flexibility – which can aid in longtime injuries. In a private yoga session, we may: set an intention to specifically move energy, focus on a physical ailment or issue, or use breath and meditation to access relaxation or to reenergize.

What is reiki?

Reiki, sometimes referred to as Chi or Prana, is pure life force energy. The lineage is Japanese and has been taught in person over time, with the ability to access and channel the energy given from one teacher (Reiki Master) to a student/new practitioner. Reiki is generally performed with the intention of balancing the energy of the recipient as is in their best and highest interest (often unknown to the practitioner). The practitioner does this using their hands – either directly on the (clothed) person or a few inches above them – as channels to balance each of the 7 energy centers (chakras).

What is healing touch?

Healing touch works similarly to reiki but requires actual contact between the practitioner and the client. This can be done skin to skin or over clothing. It can be done by holding the client but is more commonly done with the practitioner’s hands or body. It can be an active or static touch, for example, with loving placement of hands on the head, the belly, or elsewhere, with the intention of bringing healing.

What are the chakras?

The chakras or 7 energy centers of the body originate in kundalini yoga with the yoga asana (postures) that are practiced in the West meant to move and align these energy centers for higher spiritual awareness. The energy centers begin at the base of the spine and reach the crown of the head, but may also be accessed via the feet, hands and limbs of the body. When practicing reiki, or often in tantric healing, a practitioner will acknowledge each energy center and work to best align/balance them (as some tend to be overly open or closed). We live in optimal health when all of our chakras are open and the energy is running freely.

What is tantra/ a tantric healing session?

Tantra originates in eastern culture along the lines of yoga and movement of energy. One modern-day interpretation refers to tantra as conscious connection between a person and their own body or between individuals in an effort to use that connection and intimacy to grow spiritually.

A tantric healing session is performed to help an individual feel safe in, and connected to, their own body. In tantra we revere the body and do not ignore any part of the body. We honor our uniqueness and the connection that our bodies have to our minds and spirits. There is no judgement, only acceptance and love.
